We are Carl and Katherine, husband and wife team from Asheville, NC, and we are Honed Habitats. Carl has an extensive background in construction and Katherine has a natural instinct for design. In the last 8 years together we have renovated our entire home, and after advising and assisting several friends with projects gone wrong, we realized we have the skills and passions to help make home renovation projects a pleasure. We are small, we are custom, and we provide an excellent product and experience.
Carl is skilled in doing high quality work. He prides himself on high-end results for every project and believes in doing things the right way, every time, for every client. He is passionate about exceeding the typical expectation for a contractor… think attention to detail, cleanliness, efficiency and excellent communication. Katherine has a natural affinity for creating spaces that are organized, functional and pleasing to all the senses. Details make the difference in a great design and she doesn’t miss a detail. She strives to create spaces that are cohesive with the stye of home and the preferences of the client, so your improved space never feels like an “afterthought”.
